The Dude is back in action and is taking it upon himself to keep rumors updated and organized in one place. Other than just repost his info, you can check them out here: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212260 He will keep this thread updated regularly. He does an awesome job with these types of threads, and the IG thread he ran was so accurate, you were able to run test games a few weeks before they were released. I know this for a fact……

Terrain – The Rubble Pile From Before Time!

Terrain – The Rubble Pile From Before Time!

Behold the oldest piece of terrain in our collection – a rubble pile from Armorcast. Wildeyedjester will know more about this than I do as it is his. When I first started gaming with them they already had this piece of terrain as well as a few others and this thing was old even then. In the intervening years most of the other terrain has gone on to the great trash pile out west of the city but this one remains. My rough estimates on this thing put it somewhere between 10 and 15 years old. Jester – you got any better idea on when this thing found it’s way to you? I bought this piece of terrain at a Memphis gaming store (long out of business) when I was 16 years old – that makes this resin piece of terrain approximately 15 years old. It is an armorcast...

Quick Tip – Terrain Gap Filling

Quick Tip – Terrain Gap Filling

Say hello to your best friend for terrain gap filling – joint compound. This stuff is great for working with scenery. If you have a gap or need some texture, just slap a handful (or less) of this stuff on it and you are good to go. The best part is the more you buy the cheaper it is! You can buy a little tiny can of it for a few bucks, or a quite larger can of it for a few bucks. I was almost tempted to get five gallons of it because it would have been CRAZY cheap per/unit compared to the smaller sizes but my wife did not think it was a good idea. So remember, next time you have some terrain that isn’t going to hot, just try a bit of this on it. If all else fails just say it is possessed or was...

Conversion – Loyalist Land Raider Crusader to Khorne Land Raider Crusader

Conversion – Loyalist Land Raider Crusader to Khorne Land Raider Crusader

For my and WildeyedJester’s doubles list for The Big Waaagh we decided that I needed a unit of Khorne Berzerkers loaded up in a Land Raider. This would give us some anti-tank and counter charge support. There Berzerkers were no problem since I have about 30 of the little buggers sitting around. The Land Raider was another story. As much Chaos stuff as I have I just didn’t have a Land Raider. We solved this problem in a hurry as Jester had one he had picked up for his Blood Angles that he didn’t ever use. It had also suffered a little accident out in the garage when he was base coating some of his other models with an airbrush. When I got the tank it was about 2/3 covered with a light dusting of bleached bone/dheneb stone. There were little dots of paint all over the model. It...

Guide To Basing Part 1:

Guide To Basing Part 1:

I will be making use of a Valkyrie bases as I go through this tutorial on how I base objects. The base is a large, often overlooked, part of the model. It deserves some solid attention as well to help make your models pop on the table top. As a rule of thumb, the larger the model, the moreintricate your basing should be! 1) First I get my supplies ready. I want a nice tupperware container to catch basing materials so they dont end up wasted or in the floor.2) Second, I want my container of sand, ballast and waste. In this container I have several types and sizes of sand mixed together, textured pieces of plasticard, some cork board pieces, some small rocks, and random pieces of sprue or bits that I throw in from time to time. 3) Third I cover the base with a fine layer...
