Why Necrons Will Be Forced to Play On Foot

Why Necrons Will Be Forced to Play On Foot

Unless you play in some very unusual metas, you will realize that 40k is certainly a game about vehicles.  Often the plastic dudes stay hidden in their armored boxes and prefer to stay tucked away holding objectives.  It is common place for them to stay in their bunkers for as long as possible, and in many cases never poke their heads out of their rides.  The armor gives them protection from shooting and prevents them from being removed from the objective until their vehicle is dealt with.  In essence its almost a form of another saving throw. With necrons coming out I have been thinking about the rumors and the two main types of transports they will have.  Both are pretty cool, but I really believe they will force Necron players to use them differently that you would initially anticipate.  Firstly, lets examine the ghost ark.  An 11/11/11 transport...

6th Edition Warhammer 40k Clues

You keep hearing that Warhammer 40k 6th edition is going to come out next summer. At this point it is a pretty safe bet to go ahead and assume that this is correct. Breaking the Silence

Breaking the Silence

Hey all, Big Al here.  It’s been a looong time since I posted something.  Real life and all that.  With the Warpig tourny this weekend, I’m really looking forward to shaking some dice and moving some plastic dudes.  Being a die-hard nid player, I know it will be uphill battles each game ***insert nid codex and FAQ laments here***.  So I thought I would put a slightly different list together and have some fun with it, win or lose.  Behold: You’ll see only 2 MC, but the usual contingent of 6 Hive Guard.  The new additions include Ymgarls, Hormagaunts, Gargoyles, and the Parasite or Mortrex.  Yikes!  Not my usual spread, at all.  I wanted to go with larger units and less MC (thank you force and poison weapons).  The general idea is to put pressure in my opponents backfield with stealers, hormagaunts, and ymgarls while the core advances.  The...
