Games Workshop Paint Range Update Speculation

Now that we have seen what is coming out in next months White Dwarf it looks like it is safe to say the new paint range isn’t going to make in March. From what I am seeing around the web it looks like retailers will be filled in on what is going on the end of March, the April White Dwarf will announce the paints, and we should see the paints on the shelf around the middle to last week of April.

We still don’t have concrete news on what the bottle is going to look like, but it is looking more and more like it won’t be changing. I am also hearing the the line will be expanded out to about 150 colors. A few retailers are reporting that they have been told to make room for two more rack sections.

One rumor that I have heard from a few places is that GW is moving the paint production to the US. Supposedly a problem with their Chinese manufacturer kicked off this whole deal. The rumor is that the new paints are going to be a higher quality with heavier pigment – more akin to a P3 paint.

Sadly there is no work on what colors will be going away/coming back but I have heard from more than one place that a few of the inks might make a comeback. It looks like only time will tell on this one.
