The rumors are true! We’ve got pictures of Thunder Wolves, Fenrisian Wolves, the Tervigon, a Tyrannofex, the Swarm Lord, and even a Harpy. The pictures from March’s White Dwarf have hit the web and it looks like an amazing (albeitĀ far over-due) release.

Awesome models. Too bad the foolish logic at gw held these so long. They would have sold the nid units when the dex dropped. Now that the dex is considered flawed I can’t see these flying off this shelves. Can you say backfire?
Not only that, but how many people have already converted up these units, tervigons, thunderwolves…I can’t see many people that wanted them not already having built them.
They look good, but meh, bad timing.
This is less a case of providing models that people want to buy and more about GW legal being told that they need to present examples of models if they want to be able to protect their IP on those models. The Tyranid line is one that has lots of gaps and a number of other sources for making the missing kits…
Given the after-the-fact timing, I would tend to agree with oink. It’s unfortunate that GW moves to action because of legal reasons and not because its the right thing to do for the fans and issue a full model range all at once for maximum profit potential. Crazy logic, I know. The converted Carnifexes I already owned will remain Tyranofexes and Tervigons. My tyrant will remain a Swarmlord. GW gets $0 from me on this one.
Well now I have to build a thunder wolf list. Damn you GW!
