The walls are finished! This beast is for the apocalypse game coming up and it is based on the forge world resin set. Not only did I go for a cheaper setup, but I also wanted a different take and look. In my mind this is a center piece for the jungle terrain I have built in the past. I wanted to go for a worn look. The fortress has clearly weathered some battles and lies on the verge of being completely abandoned.
After the last post I went with multiple dry brushes to bring out the stone look. Then I weathered it heavily, focusing on blasts and dust.
In the apocalypse game, the fortress will have a gate section, 2 wall sections and 2 gate towers. The defenders also get the services of a Vulcan mega bolter, las cannon, 4 hunter killer missiles and 4 heavy bolters. In all, the bad boy will clock in at about 700 points for the defenders. It will serve as the primary objective on the main table for attackers.
What do you think?

Sure man. Please. Go right ahead. Thanks for the compliment.
Actually I frequent your blog often. I drew alot of inspiration from your site for this years apoc game.
Awesome stuff. Pictures look good, but I bet it is even more impressive in person where you can appreciate the little details and scale of it. Great terrain always makes playing the game more fun.
