Traitor Guard For Sale – 5000 Points – All Converted

Traitor Guard For Sale – 5000 Points – All Converted

This auction is for a fully painted  Nurlglish Imperial Guard army dubbed the Cannibal Legion.  This is the perfect opportunity to burgeon your forces before the Chaos book drops!  Allies makes for a wonderful opportunity with this force. Every model in the army is heavily converted and/or consisting of forgeworld models.  The models have been customized using extenstive use of green stuff and are painted to a very high standard.  Each model is entirely unique, consisting of bits from multiple GW lines and other bits companies. This army has been used in multiple Grand Tournaments and has won best painted on several different occasions, while also being very competitive supporting many powerful builds.   I have won or placed in numerous tournaments both local and national with this army.  There are sufficient models in the army to run either leaf blower or blob squad. In the army : 6 chimera armored…

6E Riddle Me This: Necron Chariot. **update**

6E Riddle Me This: Necron Chariot. **update**

Lots of loopholes and things just left out of 6E.  Lets start with Chariots. The necron Command Barge is a Chariot, according the the new Necron FAQ. 1. It charges into a unit thunder hammer terminators (just because), after driving over them doing passover attacks. 2. It makes d6 Hammer of Wrath Impact Hits. 3. At the start of the combat, someone in the unit will make Mindshackle Scarabs Checks (Yes the lord has them) 4. The chariot is now in base to base (though not locked), and the Overlord can swing on his pass. Lets start with the problems: 1.  Can the enemy swing at both the chariot and the overlord? Rule book says enemy MAY attrack the rider. 2.  If they swing at the chariot is it against front armor or back armor? 3. At its initiative pass, and at the end of combat does the chariot make a…

Warmachine: Epic Asphyxious Painted

Warmachine: Epic Asphyxious Painted

For my second Cryx model, I have painted up Epic Asphyxious to go with my deathjack.  I used the same sequence of GW greens and used a purple for the robes.  I intend on using this color scheme throughout and will use gold on models that should be signified as more important.  I’m going to echno the purple color on the cloth of all my bane units. I also played a couple more games with cryx and had a lot of fun with them.  I really dig the Bane Knight combo with his feat, and it appeals to ‘the all my eggs in one basket’ side of my gaming mentality. After a local deal I am pulled my list up to 50 points, and then at Wargamescon Privateer Press was giving away starter boxes.  So after a few more purchases I will start working on a Denegrha list. What do…

Page 80 fixes this!

Page 80 fixes this!

So no one is talking about this?! I have the new book. Look at the picture and decide what the implication is? Now granted, I’m only on page 20. But I didnt see anything that allowed you to charge transport innards anywhere in my quick flip through.

Back From Wargamescon

Back From Wargamescon

We all survived the journey to Austin and managed to make it back in one piece. It was an awesome tournament and was very well done this year. The Bols guys did a terrific job – even more so than years past. The bigger venue was excellent and gave needed space for moving around. The schedule was adhered to and the judging was done proactively. I cracked a book open three times during the 10 games and each time a judge asked me what I was looking for before I found the page. I thought this was a nice touch, and coupled with an extended 2 hours 15 minute games meant most people were finishing their games. I also really liked all the demos and the vendor areas. Props to the Privateer Press guys who ran demos and gave away starter boxes to everyone who tried it. Catering to a…

Dabbling With Warmachine: Cryx Death Jack Painted

Dabbling With Warmachine: Cryx Death Jack Painted

I think I am suffering by the same ‘end of the edition burn out’ so many are feeling in the blogging community. As 5th edition 40k wanes, I have taken it upon myself to paint up a few Warmachine models and give the game a try. My favorite model, bar none, was the Death Jack as I looked the line over. I had no idea what it would do, but I was sure it was going to be good. I mean look at this thing and its giant chain wrapped fists!  Whats not to love? Regardless, I set about painting the model and I wanted to go with an alternate paint scheme. I went with the new GW green sequence and it gave it a unique coloring. I also decided I wanted prominate use of metals in the models as well. My last two armies, the eldar and the necrons,…

Moebius Cylon Raider to Necron Night Scythe Conversion Guide

Moebius Cylon Raider to Necron Night Scythe Conversion Guide

If you are like me you can’t wait long enough to have Night Scythes on the table. I have been proxying them in games, and I absolutely love them. In my current list I run four of them. They offer up some great mobility and some very good supporting fire power as well. Great at tearing down light armor, but even better is the fact that they keep your MSU squads safe after they are destroyed. I like that a melta unit cannot take down the Night Scythe and then assault its innards, like rhinos and chimeras. At first I thought this would be a weakness, but its really not. In my travels across the internet I came upon this kit from Moebius Models: It is a Cylon Raider at a pretty good scale. I couldn’t find any size comparisons with GW models, but when I found the kit on…

Apocalypse Team Captain Mission Cards

Apocalypse Team Captain Mission Cards

In one final twist to our apocalypse game, I fired up the good old MS publisher and created a unique set of Mission/Objective cards. I always search around for Objective Cards for captains but have never been able to locate any. I also wanted them to work in a unique way and to emphasize the team captain role in an apocalypse game. In all there are 18 of the cards, each with either a twist or perk for a team to use in an apocalypse game. Some of the cards give an individual a way to score an extra point for their team. Some provide a way to create trouble for the opponents. Others provide a one time shot of resources the general can provide to get the most out of their troops. You can find them all by clicking through the resources tab at the top, or through the…

Apocalypse Scenario for the Third Table

Apocalypse Scenario for the Third Table

And finally, our scenario for the third table in our apocalypse game: Merrows City – Following a heavy oribital bombardment this city must now be taken or reclaimed at all costs. The shielded defense laser at the center of the city cannot fall into enemy hands. This will be a 12’ by 6’ city table. The defense laser will be in the center of the board. Deployment zones will be 30” along the full 12’ length of the table. No Scout moves or infiltrators may be placed or taken to within 18” of the defense laser. Automatic defense turrets: if any vehicle moves within 12” of the laser, or begins their movement within 12” of the laser, the vehicle take an automatic hit as per a haywire grenade. 1 – no effect, 2-5 glancing hit, 6 penetrating hit. A. Both Troops and a commander are needed to take and make…
