Games Workshop Paint Range Update Speculation

Now that we have seen what is coming out in next months White Dwarf it looks like it is safe to say the new paint range isn’t going to make in March. From what I am seeing around the web it looks like retailers will be filled in on what is going on the end of March, the April White Dwarf will announce the paints, and we should see the paints on the shelf around the middle to last week of April. We still don’t have concrete news on what the bottle is going to look like, but it is looking more and more like it won’t be changing. New Models! – Vampire Counts, Daemons, Terrain, and Dark Eldar

This months White Dwarf is floating around out there and pictures are starting to pour in. Aside from the new Sisters of Battle codex there are a TON of new models in this issue. There are new models for Vampire Counts, Daemons, a new gothic terrain piece, and even some Dark Eldar models. August is going to be a really solid month for new model releases.

New Plastic kits: Rhinox Riders (on regular Rhinoxen) (box of 3) Scraplauncher/Skewer-slinger (Similar to Warp-cannon/plague-claw in design) Great Mammox with three ogre crew and plastic tyrant option (Same base as Arachnarock. Imagine a cross between a musk ox and a Mammoth) Yhetees (More gorilla-like, and and no more 80′s hairstyle manes. Really dynamic for a plastic kit) Finecast: Jahred The Red on Rhinox Golgfag Maneater Redone Goldtooth, Skrag, maneaters (box of 3, female, ninja and pirate discontinued), Tyrant/bruiser, gorger. More Necron Rumors – Warrior Info And A Release Date

Looks like there are some more Warhammer 40k Necron rumors floating around. I am seeing a few that say the current Necron Warriors will just be re-cut. They are going to be removing the Scarabs and putting the new options that the Warriors can take on the sprue in their place. Scarabs will supposedly be a multi-pose Finecast kit coming out later. The current best guess for the date on these guys is November 12th.

Since the new Necron Rumors have gone kind of stale over the last few weeks I have decided to talk about what I think will be in the new Necron Codex. I think we can make a few assumptions and guesses based on what we have seen from the last several Codex releases as well as the general direction that the game is going.   The first thing that I think will be in there is a gimmee based on the last several 40k Codex releases as well as the last several Warhammer Fantasy Army Book releases – there is going to be somehting BIG in the codex. Warhammer 40k 6th Edition Rumors – Here They Come

Over the last few weeks there has been post after post of rumors about Warhammer 40k 6th edition. I have seen pretty much every major site putting up list after list of new rules and changes to the game. So far what I am seeing is just scary – huge sweeping changes to the rules, things that aren’t making any sense, and what feels like a complete departure to the Warhammer 40k system that I know. I am seeing things like Ballistic Skill being changed to where you look at a chart to see what your Ballistic Skill is, compare it to what you are shooting at, and get the number you need – no more static ‘to hit’ number. There are starting to be quite a few rumors circling around for what the rest of the year will bring. Right now the most popular release date rumors are saying a White Dwarf Codex for Sisters of Battle in July/August followed up by Necrons in October/November. It still isn’t 100% on this, but it looks like the dates are starting to get narrowed down more and more. There is also supposed to be another big mystery box release this year. Right now the rumors are pointing towards Battlefleet Gothic.  In this months White Dwarf there is a full page add for Specialist Games and it is none other than Battlefleet Gothic that they are showing off. From Faeit 212 – Yet another set of Tau rumors. The first two come from novels, possibly indicating possibly some new units amongst the Kroot. While Novels I am sure have a certain liberty, its worthwhile to take a look. The rest is a full set of rumors without much detail. The Flood Gates Are Open – A TON Of New Tomb King Pictures!

Check out this sweetness that I found while trolling the net. All I can saw is WOW. These models are amazing looking. Some of them look a bit goofy – skeleton riding snake, but the quality looks top tier. The big monster is continuing on the tradition of every new army getting something BIG so that is a plus. I can’t wait to see what conversions come out of that thing – it just screams squiggoth or greater daemon to me. I can’t wait for the new Tomb Kings army book.

After our little bit of fun this morning I figured it would be only proper to post up some real rumors from around the web. I found these all earlier in the week so I don’t suspect any of them are April Fools jokes - More Sisters of Battle news from across the pond over at Dakka - I was at warhammer world for the schools league, and Wayde Price was giving us a talk about the new Grey Knights. In this, he mentioned other parts of the inquisition, including the sisters of battle; who he said will be updated later this year!
